Rumwell Park 2016-2017
On behalf of a private client, Karesa constructed a brand new, modern-style three-bed dwelling. From the foundations to the custom-ordered timber framed roof, every element of the property was installed in accordance with the client’s designs, including features such as the underfloor heating. Karesa also landscaped a new driveway and raised the front garden for the property.
Sheria Cottages 2017-2018
Three-property construction project in South Petherton, comprising of the extension and refurbishment of an existing cottage and the construction of two four-bed detached houses, with modern-style kitchens and bathrooms being installed in all three. Karesa also constructed three detached brick garages and a new sweeping driveway.
Cheddon Road 2018
On behalf of a private client, Karesa constructed a brand-new single-story timber frame annex, with external render cladding. Karesa also carried out the interior kitchen installation and decorating, as well as laying down a new patio and building a new detached garage alongside the annexe.
Slapes Close 2020 (SWT)
Replacement of a large retaining wall that ran along a public footpath in Taunton. Karesa dug out the existing foundations and laid new concrete and block foundations, to ensure the new wall would be fully supported. The new wall was comprised of a breeze block core and a red brick front, topped with timber panels for an attractive finish. Karesa also re-laid a new tarmac public footpath alongside the wall.
Goodland Gardens Bridges 2019 (SWT)
Repair work was carried out on two foot and cycle bridges within a public park in Taunton. For the first bridge, a full rebuild was determined to maximise the bridge’s longevity and to better serve the local community. Karesa first stripped the bridge back to the support timber arches. Then we replaced the decking and the balustrades with custom-ordered timber slats and posts. The new wood was coated with weather-resistant paint to keep the bridge in good condition for as long as possible.
For the second bridge, it was determined that the wooden railings on both sides of the bridge were not sufficiently secure. Karesa therefore removed the wooden rails and replaced them with new custom steel railings.
Vivary Park Bridge 2019 (SWT)
Bridge repairs at the main thoroughfare in Vivary Park, Taunton. The work included adding new stone kerbs to the bridge approaches. Then the surfaces were re-levelled to match the heights of the kerbs in order to provide a smoother surface for the public.
